True Grandeur

grand canyon

Today’s Verse: Genesis 1:9 Then God said, “Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so. NASB

Well, we just returned back from a two week driving vacation to Texas. We had terrible luck with Internet connections and I apologize for being “off-line” for so many days. We saw so many wonderful friends and family it was very enjoyable. The last day of the trip we stopped in Las Vegas and got to see the incredible fountains at the Bellagio resort. I had seen them in the movie Oceans 11 and wanted to see them as we went through. They really were wonderful. It was a water ballet set to music. So well done. Debby put pictures on Facebook at her debbyshelley@yahoo.com address if you would like to see. What made the fountains pale by comparison however was our stop the day prior. We got to go to the Grand Canyon which I had never seen in person. It was a real breath taking and awesome experience. I had to just sit and take it all in. There is no comparison of the beauty of God’s creative work and man’s best efforts. God wins hands down! The sheer magnitude of the canyons and all the colors and variation was so fabulous. I stopped and just prayed a prayer of thankfulness for His creation and the beauty He sets before us every day just waiting to be discovered and enjoyed. It is good to be reminded of His marvelous creation and might now and again.

May God bless your heart as you seek His.
