Regarded as Servants of Christ

Today’s Verse: 1 Corinthians 4:1 Let a man regard us in this manner, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. NASB

I often wonder if what I see when I peer into the mirror if what and who I see is who others see. It is said that we are what we are perceived to be by others. In a sense that is true, however, we are often not quite that. We are not as good, strong, courageous and even faithful as what some might believe us to be. We are also not as weak or flawed as some might perceive us to be. Fortunately, God can see us as we really are. That might be comforting and then again that might be threatening depending on what you are masking up or doing when no one else is looking except Him. In today’s verse, Paul is talking about himself and his companions, but I think that the application can be made to us as well. I want to be seen by God as a servant of Christ. It is to Him to whom I look for my significance and standard, not others. If God sees us as that, surly others will as well. Not for us to become puffed up, but rather that they would be drawn to such behavior and be encouraged by it. Let’s strive today to be seen by Him as servants because we are indeed serving with His heart.

May God bless your heart as you seek His.
