Today’s Verse: Luke 24:36 While they were telling these things, He Himself stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.” NASB
In a worldly sense you often have to wonder if a state of peace can or will ever exist. I can remember back in the early 1970’s I had an old truck that had a “peace symbol” in the back window. I was sure I was very cool. After all, peace was “what it was all about man”. Sad but true, we actually talked like that at one point much to the chagrin of our parents who so hoped we would go to college get jobs and lives of our own. The kind of peace Jesus talks about is not the same kind of peace we were talking about. His peace comes from within like joy. We can have in Him a peace even in the midst of life’s most challenging and hectic moments. If everyone had that peace, there would be a chance of worldly peace, but we are told in scripture that even to the end there will be wars. In a fallen world there can be no peace apart from Christ. For your day today I wish you His blessing, “Peace be with you.”
As always, may God bless your heart as you seek His.
As always Bryan, you speak the truth!
You are a blessing!
