Gloryify God in Our Bodies

Weekending

Today’s Verse: 1 Corinthians 6:20 “For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.”

Jesus paid the ransom for our souls and our bodies. Too often we take our bodies for granted as part of what God gives us to be stewards over. We know that we need to read scripture and pray to be spiritually healthy, but what are we supposed to take into our body? Too often we treat our bodies like tents instead of temples. God paid an incredibly high price for us. Are we glorifying Him in how we treat our bodies and use them to serve him? Lord help us to be good stewards of our bodies and our spirits today.

A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of oil olive, and honey. Deuteronomy 8:8

And their father Israel said unto them, If it must be so now, do this; take of the best fruits in the land in your vessels, and carry down the man a present, a little balm, and a little honey, spices, and myrrh, nuts, and almonds. Genesis 43:11

  2. What a good reminder for me today. I have problems with my weight and I’m sure I’m not glorifying Him with my gluttony. God bless you, brother in Christ.

  3. I started a new diet today. Don’t you just hate it when God disciplines you…(ha). Maybe I should take a long look at what Maggie wrote. It likely does not include the leftover “diet” spare ribs I had for lunch. Oops.
