Seeking God’s Heart- by Bryan Shelley

Weekending

Today’s Verse: 1 Peter 2:5 “you also, as living stones, are being built up for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”

Some have been accused of treating their body like a tent instead of temple. Did you know that we together as believers are being built up as His church of living stones? Even more amazingly, we are a holy priesthood. Do you feel like a priest? More importantly, do you act like one? Ours is a high calling as Jesus’ disciples. How differently would we go through our day today if we fully became God’s holy priests and everything we do today was as a spiritual sacrifice acceptable to God? That is a profound privilege and responsibility.

  1. Bryan, sometimes I do feel like a priest… but those feelings directly correlate to the earnestness of my prayer time on any given day. I’m still struggling offer everything I do as a spiritual sacrifice acceptable to God. Thanks so much for the incisive reminder.
