Seeking God’s Heart- by Bryan Shelley

Weekending

Today’s Verse: Luke 18:1 “Now He was telling them a parable to show that at all times they ought to pray and not to lose heart,” NASB

Have you ever had the wind knocked out of you? Once, while playing high school football, it happened to me. It is the most helpless and scary feeling. Sometimes life can knock the breath out of us spiritually can’t it? Jesus is telling us to be not only persistent, but continuous in our prayers. When we get focused on something other than Him, we too can feel scared and helpless. Jesus says pray and don’t lose heart. Share your concern with a Christian friend and let them have the privilege as a brother or sister in Christ to help lift up prayers for you. Don’t lose heart, pray.

  1. Whew. Persistent, and continuous.
Things i have prayed about for years….have not changed. I am learning surrender. Even when things don’t change the way i would like to imagine them, i still need to walk in the footprints of faith….
and find Joy in the journey, because Jesus is simply enough! I will continue praying…for MY heart to change. And for a willing spirit, to hand over my fears and doubts.
    Thanks for the daily reminders!
